RPZL GORGEOUS GIRL™ MEMBERSHIPS

  • WAIT TO WASH: It’s a “no no” to wash hair 48 – 72 hours after receiving your premium tape and keratin extensions.
  • NO WETTING THE BED: Wet hair is weak hair. When you wet the bed (with your hair, of course), it places unnecessary tension on your own hair.
  • BE A BEDTIME BRAID BABE: When your hair is completely dry, braid it loosely for bedtime (pigtails work too!).
  • TRESS TREAT TIME: Indulge your hair often with a professional blow out and either moisturizing cream or oil to keep it healthy and shiny (ask your Headmaster or Very Personal Stylist for their tress treatment of choice).
  • TRESSES ARE A LATHER FREE ZONE: We know you like to lather up, but ONLY USE SULFATE-FREE and PABA-FREE shampoo on your roots where your hair extensions are applied (this is the only time we say no to bubbly!).
  • STEADY & THOROUGH WINS THE RACE: Shampoo thoroughly to remove buildup from oils, waxes and products. Carefully concentrate on the root area (especially when wearing a full head of extensions). Apply conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends so you don’t compromise your extension connection.
  • TOO MUCH HOT AIR: Hot air affects the adhesion of the tape and stresses the hair quality, making it look dry and dull. Keep the hair dryer, straightener and curling iron away from your tape or keratin bonded area. We like a little heat too but in the right place – it’s ALL ABOUT THE BASE…NO TROUBLE!
  • APPLY THE 80% RULE: Before you begin your blow out, be sure that 80% of the hair is dry. Be sure not to rub hair together—it’s best to press hair with the towel (we give an A+ for 80% and keeping this styling rule!). Please use a brush made for hair extensions!
  • DON’T SWIM WITH THE SHARKS: Avoid both salt water and chlorinated water as much as possible. If you do, keep your hair out of the water and wash with a de-chlorinating shampoo and conditioner (sulphate-free and PABA-free, of course). This is the only time we don’t want you to Go Long!
  • LOVE A GENTLE TUG: No pulling aggressively on the hair. A gentle approach is always best for both the life of your extensions and your own natural hair. When using hair accessories, use low-tension, metal-free hair ties (you don’t always have to be a tough girl!).
  • SO LONG (WE HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOON!):
  • TAPE HAIR: Every 6-8 weeks (new application as the natural hair growth cycle will cause tape extensions to travel away from the scalp).
  • KERATIN HAIR: Every 3 months (new application as the natural hair growth cycle will cause tape extensions to travel away from the scalp).
  • THERE MAY BE HAIR: Your hair extensions will naturally shed similar to your own hair. Don’t worry—this is a healthy process. But if your hair extensions detach routinely, dial 212-255-0036 for all hair emergencies and visit us.

  • STYLING: Use RPZL brush on low heat. Be extra gentle while they are clipped in your hair. You can blow dry, straighten and curl your extensions, too.
  • WASHING: Remove clip-ins from your hair prior to washing. Use RPZL brush made for extensions to comb out all tangles. Wash with a gentle shampoo. Use a small amount of conditioner to reduce tangles. Blot extensions with a towel and allow to air dry.
  • STORING: Once they are clean and dry, store extensions vertically.
